What kind of flowers would you send on the anniversary of a death?

I'd like to send flowers to a girl whose grandmother passed away a year ago, but I don't know what is an appropriate type of flower for the occasion. Any advice is welcome, although I'm on a budget. (If it's relevant, we're dating, though not exclusively).

3. When you are confused please dont send anything that may hurt her very badly. i dont think you need to send a bunch of flowers instead convey your condolence message which would rather console her.
4. All these previous answers are very good. Was there a certain flower she especially like? Whateever has a lot of meaning, or is really beautiful, or smells really good. You know it's the thought that counts. :)
