Stanford Florists

I want to send someone birthday flowers or candy. What is cheaper to deliver?

I live in Houston and my husband wants to send his sister flowers for her birthday tomorrow. We will contact a flower place from where she lives in Illinois. The cheapest flower delivery place is right around the corner from her home and charges $40. I was wondering if anyone knows of other deliverables that would also make great gifts. Maybe specific candy companies or something. Any answers are appreciated.

  1. You could check out Pro Flowers. Do you mean the entire charge is $40, or just the delivery?
  2. You know this is hard. - - have you thought of the online yellow book Tomorrow - - wow - good luck ? ? planning ? ?
  3. depends on where you´re looking and at what brands...I would think flowers are cheaper cuz the candy usually comes in this huge package...like a gift basket or something
  4. Does your husband like candy? I'd send flowers....the candy might be around in a few days for him to enjoy. I'd send from Esther Price Candies in Ohio. Florists can deliver faster, but candy is better.
  5. FTD
  6. If the flower arrangement plus delivery totaled $40, that is pretty reasonable. If the delivery charges were $40 that is ridiculous. Delivery charges for on-line flower arrangements from Pro-floweres, 1-800 flowers and teleflora usually run between $15-20, sometimes they add a service charge Recently, I sent candy from NYS to Mass. Delivery charge was $12.
